CHILI/SALPETRE/L exploitation du salpetre a ete la principale ressource du Chili depuis le 19 siecle et jusqu aux annees 40. Tombees en desuetude ces mines de nitrate sont aujourd hui a l abandon en plein desert d Atacama. Le site minier de Chacabuco pres d Antofagasta, utilise posterieurement comme camp de concentration. The salpeter exploitation was the main resource of Chile for the 19 century until 1940. Now in disuse the nitrate mines are abandoned in the Atacama desert.
