Ici Shiraj, après le processus khulai, où le tissu est soigneusement lavé, il est teint avec de l'aal ka rang ou de l'alizarine combinée à des fleurs de dawadi. Cette teinture est réalisée dans un récipient en cuivre. Le tissu est traité pendant 4 à 5 heures à une température comprise entre 60 et 85 degrés. Cette étape permet au tissu d'absorber efficacement les couleurs vives, ce qui donne les teintes riches et traditionnelles caractéristiques des imprimés Bagru. Ce processus est appelé localement ghaan rangna.
