Reportage sur un des ateliers de selleries du Groupe Lim leader sur le marché mondial. Ils sont implanté dans plusieurs endroits en France et a l'étranger avec plusieurs marques et ici nous sommes en Dordogne à Saint-Estèphe. Ici Michel Marques Da Rocha pour éviter l'usage du chrome utilise un procédé ancien 100% végétal. Les peaux sont brassées dans une énorme lessiveuse appelés "foulons" ou l'on ajoute aux peaux un mélange d'écorces. Story on one of Groupe Lim's world-leading saddlery workshops. Here, Michel Marques Da Rocha avoids the use of chrome by using an ancient 100% vegetable-based process. The skins are stirred in a huge digester called a "fuller", where a mixture of bark is added to the skins.
