Reportage sur les Pastels Girault entreprise du patrimoine Français et plus ancienne marque de pastel sec (1780). Des artistes tels que Quentin De La Tour grand portraitiste de la cour de Louis XV, participent grandement à la notoriété de cette marque prestigieuse. Mondialement appréciés, elle est multi médaillés aux expositions universelles de Paris. En 1927, l'entreprise est acquises par Georges Henri Petit et son épouse. La marque s’inscrit dans la tradition familiale, où le savoir-faire artisanal reste inchangé et transmis de génération en génération. Implanté dans le Périgord à Montignac-Lascaux depuis 1998 par le petit fils Christian Petit, c'est en 2016 au tour de sa nièce Karine de reprendre les reines aidé de son mari Stéphane qui a été formé par Christian. Ici Stéphane casse en morceaux le futur pastel débarrassé de son eau. La pâte presque sèche, Il faut la malaxer, l'égrainer, l'humidifier avant de la mettre dans l extrudeuse qui formera un long bâton de pastel. The company is world-renowned and has won several medals at the Paris World Fairs. In 1927, the company was acquired by Georges Henri Petit and his wife. The brand is part of the family tradition, where the artisanal know-how remains unchanged and passed on from generation to generation. Established in the Périgord in Montignac-Lascaux since 1998 by the grandson Christian Petit, it is in 2016 the turn of his niece Karine to take over the reins assisted by her husband Stéphane who was trained by Christian. Here Stéphane is breaking the future pastel into pieces after removing the water. The paste is almost dry and needs to be kneaded, drained and moistened before being put into the extruder which will form a long stick of pastel.
