Mullahs or clergymen meet often with their elderly colleagues to discuss legal and religious issues. Qom is the spiritual and religious capital of Iran and is of particular significance to the Shiites. Iranian clergy (mullahs) and law makers come from Qom. It's the place where Islamic scholars and students from all over the world come to study Islam and it's laws. Among other famous students, the late Imam Khomeini studied and lived in Qom for a good proportion of his life.Qom-Iran Dec 2008
