The 15th century El-Rizk Mosque minaret, stands at the edge of the Tigris River, in the south eastern town of Hasankeyf, Turkey, Archaeologists and activists are fighting to stop a dam project in southeast Turkey that will leave prehistoric, Roman and Arab monuments under water and displace about 50,000 people, mostly Kurds.
