Mahadev Bharti, 56, a Sadhu or a Hindu holy man who claims to stand at 18-inch (46 cm), rests inside a tent on the banks of the river Ganges during the ongoing Kumbh Mela, or Pitcher Festival, in the northern Indian city of Allahabad. During the festival, Hindus take part in a religious gathering on the banks of the river Ganges. Kumbh Mela will return to Allahabad in 12 years. The Kumbh Mela in the town of Allahabad will see up to 100 million worshippers gather over 55 days to take a ritual bath in the holy waters, believed to cleanse sins and bestow blessings.
