PANAREA ISLAND (SICILY), MEDITERRANEAN SEA – SEPTEMBER 2018 : Observation of a gas eruption under the Panarea volcanic island on September 8, 2018, in the Aeolian islands archipelago, Mediterranean Sea. The dives conducted by our team enabled to observe gas emissions, including hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. These extreme conditions do not hinder the emergence of life, since the white color observed on the rocks in contact with the eruption reflects the presence of bacteria.
