Comex submarine remora 2000

Mediterranean sea - France. Research submarine. Remora 2000 two-seater submarine being used for archaeological research. This Remora 2000 is owned by Comex. The clear acrylic bubble (upper centre) is 9. 5 centimetres thick. The submarine can manoeuvre with five thrusters. Its on-board computer can automatically maintain a fixed depth or heading. It can operate at depths as great as 610 metres, for up to 10 hours. Méditerranée - France - Marseille - Le Remora 2000 est un veritable hélicoptère des mers. Sa sphère en méthacrylate résiste a la pression jusqu'a 610 mètres de profondeur. Il embarque à son bord deux passagers. Un bras télémanipulateur lui permet d'effectuer différents travaux. De puissants éclairages permettent au sous-marin Remora 2000 de voir à grande profondeur. Il est ici en phase d'exploration sur un champ de gorgones blanches.
