PANAREA ISLAND (SICILY), MEDITERRANEAN SEA – SEPTEMBER 2018 : Scientists study the primitive bacteria under the Panarea volcanic island on September 8, 2018, in the Aeolian islands archipelago, Mediterranean Sea. In the caldera of the island of Panarea, just above the magma chamber under pressure, scientists are observing thousands of cubic meters per minute escaping from the bottom of the sea.
