Anti-government protesters rest in tents set up in Martyrs' Square, during ongoing protests against the Lebanese government, in downtown Beirut, Lebanon, The campaign of civil disobedience was aimed at reinforcing calls for the government to step down as nationwide protests. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets for a fourth day of protests against tax increases and alleged official corruption. The protesters took to the streets despite calls for calm from politicians and dozens of arrests on Friday. Many waved billowing Lebanese flags and insisted the protests should remain peaceful and non-sectarian.
