Statues wear a protective surgical face mask during lockdown against coronavirus disease in Paris. Along the Trocadero esplanade, from the Eiffel Tower across the Seine, statues wear face masks while the city, usually crowded with tourists, stands silent. The number of COVID-19 deaths in France rose by 166 to 24,760 on May 2 while hospitalizations and people in ICU continued to decline. France is set to enter its last week of strict coronavirus confinement rules. Paris, France, 03 May 2020.
