Water rises near the area of the Notre Dame Cathedral as the Seine river's embankments overflow the River Seine became flooded following heavy rainfalls.The rain-swollen river Seine in Paris reached its highest level in three decades, spilling its banks and prompting the Louvre museum to shut its doors and evacuate artworks in its basement.
